Murder mystery dinner party

We need more good old-fashioned entertainment in this world and lees television. Haven't you noticed this? Who am I kidding? How could anyone not notice the endless hours we all spend sitting in front of the TV. It's kind of ridiculous. Maybe we should start thinking along the lines of Charades and Twister. Or maybe even a murder mystery dinner party. That would be sweet and much less banal than television. Our society really has to start using its imagination again. Like we did back in the day when TVs were no where to be found.

Back when I was a kid, we were only able to watch television at certain times. No, I'm totally serious! And this wasn't long ago considering I was a child in the 80s. My father would let us watch TV from 7-10pm. We were not aloud to watch series' or movies during the day, and we were never aloud to watch TV from the dinner table. These were just the rules of our home. But it's not like there was a great deal on anyway. We had a grand total of three channels. So the prime time slots were much appreciated in our house. As opposed to veging-out in front of the "boobtube," we played games like Pictionary a lot of the time. My personal favorite was Clue. One night my step-mother even decided to have a murder mystery dinner party, but with just family members. It was totally cool. I would describe it like a live Clue game. We each took on an assigned role, and there was a killer amongst the bunch of us. Just to be clear, our family is pretty large. We're talking a dozen people here. Only the killer new who he/she was. And it wouldn't have been a murder mystery dinner party without a victim. There was one death in amongst us, and it appeared to be poison. To make a long story short, none of us figured out who the killer was. He had to show his face in the end.

You don't even have to create and design your own personal murder mystery dinner party now days. You can buy these games already prepared. You've got to love technology as far as that's concerned. Now, what are you going to do the next time you're entertaining a group of people? Try a murder mystery dinner party, as opposed to piling on the sofa for a sporting event. It's much more exciting than watching other people.
