Massachusetts wedding reception

New England has a romantic charm that draws many couples to the area. The region boasts a plethora of romantic bed and breakfast retreats as well as excellent dining and entertainment. If you have ever attended a Massachusetts wedding reception you know why the area draws so many couples.

My husband and I attended a Massachusetts wedding reception before we were even engaged. The event took place at the Venus de Milo Restaurant. At first, I was a little taken back by the invitations that offered a Grecian theme. Also, the Venus de Milo is synonymous with Greek art. As romantic as this theme is, it really didn’t seem to suit a Massachusetts wedding reception.

Of course, my husband and I leaped at the change for a romantic get-away in New England. During the entire drive up the coast I tried to imaging how the Massachusetts wedding reception with the Grecian theme would work. The thought kept me occupied for a good while.

When we arrived at the New England bed and breakfast we were thrilled with the accommodations. After a quick change and an aperitif, we were off to the Massachusetts wedding reception. I just couldn’t wait to see the banquet hall, not to mention the gowns and decorations.

The Venus de Milo restaurant is truly magnificent and it does have a classical atmosphere that is more than elegant. The interior is designed with Grecian elements that stand out among the crystal chandeliers and peppering of modern amenities. While the atmosphere may be a little over the top for some, I found the entire experience to be nothing less than impressive.

This Massachusetts wedding reception hosted about 300 guests and the staff accommodated everyone in a manner that was seemingly effortless. The unobtrusive nature of the servers made the courses of the meal seem to appear out of nowhere while the empty dishes vanished into thin air. The staff was graceful and beyond efficient.

The banquet room in the Venus de Milo is massive and I wondered how on earth the bride was going to have time to approach everyone during this Massachusetts wedding reception. She managed to do so with impressive ease and the arrangement of the banquet room allowed her enough room to move about gracefully in spite of her prominent gown.

There is something about the banquet hall that retains the romantic elements that we typically associate with the New England cost while incorporating the Grecian theme. When I think of a Massachusetts wedding reception the first image that will come to my mind is the Venus de Milo.

I friend of mine just got married. Halfway through the reception she came over to me and told me that she wishes she had taken my advice. “I should have eloped, just like you said,” she whispered and then scurried off to see which child was pulling the tablecloths off of the tables.
