carnival games ideas

I've always dreamed of going to the carnival or circus. Lions and tigers and bears, oh my! I want to see the acrobatic show, where they put their lives on the line to entertain. Get it, on the line? Ha, that's a good one. Also there's the bearded lady. That's a crucial part of entertainment if I ever heard one. And finally there's that lady who tells your fortune. I can't help but wonder if she's legit or not. Needless to say, I've clearly never been. I had to settle for the state fair, which I doubt I'll go back to any time soon. One thing is for certain, I definitely want to take my little girl to the carnival or circus one day. We just purchased a few carnival games at a local toy outlet and she loves them. There's no turning back on the real deal now.

How can you not appreciate the fact that all is accessible in this day and age? When you can buy carnival games and cotton candy machines on the web, you know all is right in the world. It's funny though; I can't help but notice that every time carnivals are depicted in stories or films, they're evil. This is not what carnivals, circuses, and fairs were meant to be. Their joyous games and treat machines are sold online and in stores because they're supposed to be a blast. Hollywood has to stop this obsession with making carnivals into horror death lands where adolescent teens are slaughtered and monsters lurk about. They're ruining the whole thing. And don't even get me started on clowns. The truth is no one even likes clowns anymore. They can't! After Pennywise hit the television screen back in the day, folks regard clowns as evil demonic creatures or something.

The season of giving is upon us, and you're still behind on the shopping. I say if you can't get tickets to a local carnival, then go for the carnival games found in cyberspace. So far I have purchased a ring toss, a cotton candy machine, snow cone machine, dart game with balloons, and a popcorn machine. All of which my daughter loves and makes use of all the time. So far her favorite of the carnival games has got to be the spun sugar. Kids are so predictable.

I remember when I was a kid, my parents made a cake, threw some balloons out into the middle of the room, played some music on the 8-track and presto – we had a party.
